Reminder

Please do not touch the fences and the barbed wire on top of the fences around the airfield. When the wires are getting tied together or due to the usage of the hooks, as shown in the picture below, the tension of the wire will loosen and the whole effect of the wires will be gone in no time.

Thanks for your understanding and stay safe during these times!

Important

From now on, please refrain from using the raised platform (part of the roof of the parking garage) at the aviation house. Spotting at that specific place is no longer appreciated anymore now that more companies use the aviation house as office. Remind that the aviation house parking lot is private property so when spotting there, don’t park your car on places where it is not allowed (reserved places) and don’t leave any garbage.

Thanks for your understanding!

Dear All,

Over the last period of time we have noticed increased damage to the airport perimiter fence.
At some places holes are cut in the fence to put lenses through, barbed wire is twisted or other damage has been done.

As you understand this is unacceptable as this is destruction of property of Maastricht Aachen Airport, it is also a security issue if the perimiter fence is damaged.

Please make sure steps or ladders are not placed against the fence and the barbed wire is not twisted at all times as this is forbidden.

If the number of damages do not decrease, the airport might take actions which will not be in favour of aviation enthusiasts.
Address other aviation enthusiasts if you notice unacceptable behaviour! A few people can do a lot of harm for the rest of the aviation society….

Note that the surroundings of airports in The Netherlands are marked as High Risk Area and KMAR has authority to send you away without a given reason.

I hope we all can work together so that MAA can stay one of Europe’s best airports for aviation photography!
