As from tomorrow , april 5th. the number of pax. flights will increase compared with earlier months this year.

3 Corendon flights Tenerife/Las Palmas , Antalya twice.

2 Ryanair flights Malta , Alicante

Nice choice as a start of the summer season .

Note : first flight starts at 07.35 hrs.

An updated version of the pre summer and high summer period timetable of all pax. flights at MAA is most welcome. (incl. pilgrim flights/Enter air)

Due to all changes/additions a clear new list will be very usefull.

thanks in advance.

Results april MAA added.

note

Inspite of weak freight market , volume for MAA still going strong.
( see info. Schiphol freight decrease )

Pax. volumes splendid and hopefully a solution will be found to
cope with a higher early morning peak. ( next year ?? )

At DHL in Leipzig we're breaking all records, so I don't think the market is weak at all..

Adding to this topic, DHL has chosen to increase flights to CGN and BRU instead of flying MST.

DHL in Leipzig is not representing the entire air freight market though. E-commerce is booming, general air freight is decreasing.

Thanks for your comment .

CGN is in a desperate need of more flights . Norwegian left and Eurowings reduced the number of flights in favor of Dusseldorf.
CGN is already a base for DHL and if they have the opportunity to expand/increase the activities in an already existing base , that's more
cheaper/preferable than starting a new base. For those reasons I am not surpised.

Random just some facts about airfreight for Schiphol
nov. 2018 freight 8 % less.

jan 2019 freight 9.1 % less.
full freighter flights decreased with 17.3 %

Freight volumes compared Q1

year 2018 411.539
year 2019 383.213

Not all can be blamed by slot problems. A significant weaknes in airfreight is part of the problem . ( also Confirmed in Germany by Lufthansa )

just wondering; will there be sufficient parking capacity in peak season? P5 already filled for 3/4 and actual peak still needs to come?

In an interview with newspaper De Limburger LAST YEAR date 02/06/2018 mr. J. Roeven said :

quote Intussen maakt de MAA directie ook haast met de def. oplossing : de bouw van een parkeergarage met meerdere verdiepingen pal langs de A2.
het complex moet plaats bieden aan ruim 6000 auto's. unquote

the new temp. parking has a higher capacity than the previous one . ( 2500 versus 1000 cars ) No doubt that in the peak period , capacity problems will occur.

Last year I count on week base in the peak season approx. 35 flights of Corendon. ( = excl. Ryanair ) see my post of july 9 - july 15 pax. flights

this year I did the same , starting Saturday april 27th untill Friday may3th. and the result was 34 flights in total. ( incl. Ryanair and pilgrim flights)

The Multi level parking garage is one of projects announced in the past that will be delayed/postponed or even cancelled .
